Civil War Enactment

This is our Fourth year to feature a Civil War Enactment. The battle will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Recreation Center, Alma. Soldiers from all over the South will take part in this event. They will fire cannons (including special night time firing), muskets and fire arms. Before and after the battle, you can walk through their camp sites and learn how the soldiers lived. They will demonstrate clothing, eating, and preparing for battles. The guys and often girls enjoy sharing the history of the times.

Blueberry Street Dance

Friday June 6, 2014 at 8:00 P.M.

 lazy-bonez

Join us at Goldwasser Park with your lawn chairs and dancing shoes on! Music for everyone presented by “Lazy Bonez”. The dance ends at midnight

Formed in September 2011, Lazy Bonez recreates the 80's Rock concert experience with high energy performances featuring the songs of such legendary bands as Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Van Halen, AC/DC, and so many more! Rather than emulating one single band, Lazy Bonez choses to celebrate the entire genre of 80's Rock and has been hard at work traveling and performing clubs, festivals, and corporate events to rave reviews.
